City University Qatar, in partnership with Ulster University, had the pleasure of welcoming Ms Kerstin Vaessen, Head of the Cultural Section, Commercial and Press Affairs at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Doha, to its Lusail campus.

The visit provided an opportunity to introduce Ms Vaessen to the university’s programmes and initiatives, and to highlight CUQ’s commitment to international engagement. The programme included a tour of the campus and meetings with senior university leaders, including Magdalena Riley, Vice President of Operations and Quality, Dr Dimitrios Diamantis, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and members of the management team.

Discussions focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration, cultural exchange, and joint initiatives between City University Qatar and institutions in Germany. The visit underscored the university’s dedication to building meaningful global connections that enhance the academic experience for students and promote cross-cultural understanding.
