International Students

Your journey to studying in Qatar starts here. Step-by-step support from application to arrival.

How to Launch Your Application

International students are required to submit their application online via the official application form available on our website.

  1. Visit the programme page of your chosen course and click on the “Apply Now” button.
  2. Complete all sections of the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
  3. Upload all required documents as listed on the application form.
  4. Once all details and documents are attached, click Submit.

Upon successful submission, you will receive an on-screen confirmation message stating that your application has been submitted.

After submitting your application, international students are strongly advised to contact a member of the Student Recruitment Team. Please inform them that you are an international applicant and request expedited processing, as you will need to proceed with the student visa application at the earliest.

Application Outcome Timeline:
If all details and documents are complete and correct, an offer letter is typically issued within 2–3 weeks.

How to Apply for a Student Visa

Once you receive your offer letter, a dedicated member of the Student Recruitment Team will guide you through the student visa application process.

You are encouraged to contact the team via WhatsApp, direct phone call, or email. For urgent support, WhatsApp is the preferred mode of communication.

Additional Information:

A bank statement is not required for a Qatar student visa application.

Next Steps After Your Visa Is Issued

Once your student visa is approved, it will be issued as a single-entry visa valid for two months.

Entry into Qatar

  • You must enter Qatar within the visa validity period.
  • Please note that you cannot exit Qatar until your Qatar ID (QID) is issued.
  • If you exit the country before the QID is issued, a new student visa will need to be applied for from scratch.

Post-Arrival Procedures

After arriving in Qatar, the university will guide you through the following mandatory steps:

1. Medical Health Test

  • Includes a blood test and chest X-ray.
  • The university team will schedule your appointment and provide the required form.
  • You will visit the assigned medical centre on the scheduled date.
  • Results are typically available within 2–3 business days.

2. Biometrics Registration

Once medical results are cleared, you will proceed for biometrics (fingerprints and photo).

3. Qatar ID Issuance

After biometrics, your Qatar ID (QID) will be issued within approximately two weeks.

Qatar ID Validity & Renewal

  • The Qatar ID is issued for one calendar year.
  • It is renewed annually by the university, subject to the student continuing to meet enrollment requirements.
  • An annual QID renewal fee of approximately QAR 1,000 is payable by the student.
  • The QID will continue to be renewed each year until the student completes their programme.
