How to Book Your IELTS Test
Booking your IELTS test at CUQ Ulster University is simple. Here’s how to get started:

Visit the British Council IELTS Booking Page: As the official provider of IELTS testing, the British Council handles all bookings for the exam. Click the button below to go directly to their booking page.
We offer two types of tests at our testing centre:
IELTS on Paper in centre (for academic & general) - Fee: QAR 1,180
IELTS on Computer in centre (for academic & general) - Fee: QAR 1,290
Select CUQ Ulster University as Your Test Centre: On the booking page, choose CUQ Ulster University as your preferred test centre, located in Lusail.

Complete Your Registration: Fill out your personal details, choose your preferred test type, and complete the payment process to confirm your booking.

Prepare for Test Day: Once you’ve successfully booked your test, be sure to prepare ahead by reviewing test guidelines, required documents, and any other important information shared by the British Council. By booking your test through us, you'll receive free access to IELTS Ready Premium which includes 40 free practice test and free lessons. In addition, you'll receive up to five extra Test Report Forms for free that the British Council will send free of charge to institutions you’re applying to (e.g. immigration offices, universities etc.).
Test Day Information
- Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled test time to allow for check-in.
- What to Bring: Ensure you bring the required identification (e.g., your passport or Qatari ID). Specific details will be shared upon booking. Candidates under 18 years of age should supply written consent by a parent or guardian in order to apply for a test place. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for test-takers below the age of 16.
