Uzbekistan Ambassador Visits City University Qatar

City University Qatar had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Doha to its Lusail campus.

The visit was led by His Excellency Mr Ashraf Khodjaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar, accompanied by Mr Oybek Mamatov, First Secretary.

The programme included a tour of CUQ’s modern GSAS 4-star rated campus and discussions with senior university leaders on opportunities for academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and joint initiatives. The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight CUQ’s commitment to international partnerships and its role in bringing world-class higher education to Qatar.

This engagement underscored the importance of building stronger educational ties between Qatar and Uzbekistan, with both sides exploring potential areas for research, exchange programmes, and initiatives that support students and promote mutual understanding.
