City University Qatar Hosts Successful Summer Camp 2026 for Over 400 High School Students
City University Qatar successfully hosted CUQ Summer Camp 2026 from 29 June to 1 July at its Lusail Campus, welcoming more than 400 students from high schools across Qatar.
Designed for students in Grades 11, 12 and 13, the three-day camp offered an engaging introduction to university life, giving participants the opportunity to explore academic pathways, experience campus facilities and take part in hands-on learning activities across a range of disciplines.
Throughout the programme, students participated in interactive workshops in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Law, Psychology, Business and Architecture. The sessions were designed to help students discover their interests, develop practical skills and gain a clearer understanding of what studying at university could look like.
The camp also featured a dedicated guest speaker session with Ahmed Mathlouthi, CEO of Trojan Sports Center and two-time Olympian, who shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, leadership, teamwork and turning ambition into successful ventures. His session added an inspiring real-world perspective to the student experience.
Beyond the academic workshops, students took part in campus tours, scavenger hunts, Student Representative Council activities, wellbeing sessions, sports hall activities, group presentations, networking challenges and an award ceremony. These activities encouraged students to build confidence, connect with peers and experience the wider student life offered at CUQ.
CUQ Summer Camp 2026 concluded with a final wrap-up session, celebrating the students’ participation, engagement and achievements throughout the three-day experience. Certificates of Participation were shared with students online following the camp.
The success of the camp reflects City University Qatar’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for prospective students to explore their future, engage with university life and take their first steps towards higher education with confidence.
