City University Qatar hosts National Sports Day event with Qatar Stars League

City University Qatar welcomed Qatar Stars League to its Lusail campus to mark National Sports Day through a vibrant on-campus event that brought together representatives from both organisations, our students, and a number of star players from Doha Bank Stars League clubs.

The event featured a range of sports programmes and activities designed to promote an active lifestyle and strengthen student engagement through sport. A highlight of the day was a 5×5 mini match that brought players and students together in a friendly, energetic format. Winners received prizes, and match tickets were distributed to students. The day concluded with commemorative photos and an enthusiastic campus atmosphere, reflecting the strong turnout and positive student experience.

This collaboration reinforces CUQ’s commitment to meaningful partnerships that connect students with the wider community and create memorable learning experiences beyond the classroom. Working with QSL supports our shared goal of encouraging students to attend matches, support their teams, and take part in initiatives that strengthen teamwork, wellbeing, and community spirit.

City University Qatar offers world-class, internationally recognised programmes that respond to community needs, delivered in a modern and inspiring environment that supports creativity, innovation, and student development, both academically and personally.
